Indian Premier League- a great name that has arrested the attention of cricket lovers as well as the cricketers from every part of the globe. Since the day it has been accepted in the year 2008, it has remained in news for some or the other reason. The reason behind the formation of this concept is not only generous but had shown effective results too in half the decade. Now the misbehaving or conduct issue of the cricketers had reduced to a great level.
It was formed with 10 teams but due to certain unavoidable reason it was reduced to 9 and Kochi Tuskers were asked to leave the session and they are not a part of the current IPL 2013 too. The news about the rejoining of a new team in IPL 2014 has spread faster than the speed of light. Everyone want to know the reason behind the comeback!
Are people happy with this news?
The response is mixed and some of them are overjoyed with it and others are simply trying to find the reason behind it. Some says that it is going to add more revenue to the economy others have fear of losing the rates of the existing players.
How it will affect the tournament?
Earlier you used to enjoy the fun of 76 matches now it is reduced to 74 where all teams will be participating in 14 matches. The competition is going to be tough but you will now miss the fun of 2 matches.
What Rajeev Shukla, Chairman of IPL had to say about it?
The teams will surely earn 50 crores of the entire revenue, according to his verdict. He has many positive hopes behind this new revolution.
Actual reason hidden behind this decision
Since the inception US dollar had remained the medium to pay to the players and Indian players get 40Rs as the exchange value from their franchise. This had inverse effect over Indian players as the players from other continent earn according to the running value of dollar in their land. Though there are no official announcements about the dates of the next auction but soon it is going to happen and valuation of Rupee is going to be the first issue there. It is surely going to provide great monetary return to them. It is predicted that they want to come back to the old format that was there in IPL 4.
Another big new is the auction of every player and not only the big names. The old practice of paying domestic players according to the contract is expected to lose its existence in the upcoming auction. Now it is expected, tenure is no more going to play any role in the pricing of domestic players.
Though these are just the headliners and surely it has grand excitement hidden in it. All are waiting with their bated breath for the upcoming event and surely world will be amazed when the magic box will open.
