Finally the teams of Indian Premier League - IPL 2014 are discussed. The chairman of IPL 2014 Rajeev Shukla finalized the 10 teams or the cash-rich T20 league in 2014. Among these 10 teams 9 teams will be playing in this year’s IPL. In this year IPL it is expected to follow old format of the first season by these 9 teams and total 76 matches will be played and result in the increase the share of the central revenue.
In IPL 2014 it has been decided by BCCI that these 10 teams are divided into five teams in each two groups and total 74 matches will be played. Each team will be playing 14 league matches. A team official uttered that “This is good news for all the teams. But we are not sure how it will benefit us if 10th team becomes part of IPL 2014.” He also revealed that the teams will be guaranteed Rs 50 crore of the central revenue.
This all is trying to take place after the success of Champions League T20 in 2011. The news is out that the officials are trying to organize the event once again in India this year. One of the team official revealed that “With three IPL teams taking part in the tournament, the CLT20 league was a success in India. The organizers would surely want to host it again in India.”
